OnSong 2026.1

OnSong 2026.1 was released on January 19, 2026. The following items have been added, changed or fixed:

Shiny & New

  • AuxBox™ available for preorder in the OnSong pedal configuration.
  • TalkThrough™ can be enabled from the contextual help menu and lets Jason walk you through using the app while we highlight the user interface components on the screen.

The Good Stuff We Added

  • Added the ability to configure Playback functions for controlling backing tracks, autoscroll, metronome, etc.
  • Added the ability to change the base frequency for the tuner from 440 Hz to 432 Hz and other frequencies.
  • Added the ability to choose the A2 paper size in the preferences document settings.
  • Added AuxBox™ and TalkThrough™ to the What's New release notes screen.
  • Added a screen that explains OnSong® Charts if you access without having signed up.
  • Added the ability to change the default duration for songs in Settings » Menu Settings » Playback.

Plot Twist

  • Changed the Apply Styles screen to apply metadata display settings to other songs.
  • Changed the context menu share option to open the new share menu when using the new share menu version.
  • Changed the live settings setting screen to rename "Audio Playback" to "Backing Tracks".
  • Changed OnSong Charts to be available for all U.S. territories.
  • Changed the What's New screen to omit features that are not available in certain languages or countries.
  • Changed OnSong Charts to be able to be accessible by other regions once we clear licensing specifics.

Moar Stuff

  • Updated the reason to use speech recognition to include contextual help.
  • Updated various screens to align with the user manual for TalkThrough™ functions.
  • Updated German translations in the app per user feedback.

We Broke It, We Fixed It

  • Fixed an issue where the font slider in the diagrams tab does not disable when diagrams are not enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where annotations don't clear due to the drawing being nulled and the original song drawing coming through.
  • Fixed an issue where importing songs when picking songs for a set causes the imported songs to appear in the song viewer, changing the set view.
  • Fixed an issue where changes to the font formatting in Console is not being reflected in the app.
  • Fixed an issue where the bold and italic buttons are not positioned correctly in Console.
  • Fixed an issue where desk annotations are not scaling and moving when rotating the screen.
  • Fixed an issue where some alternate tuning notes were not correct.
  • Fixed an issue where the web services URL is displayed in system information outside of beta testing.
  • Fixed an issue establishing alternate tunings.
  • Fixed an issue where selecting all songs in the set picker after a search results in all songs being added to the set.
