Ableton Link

Th' Ableton Link screen be keepin' OnSong's tempo an' beat in step wit' Ableton Live an' other Link-enabled apps on th' same Wi-Fi network, savvy? Apps join th' session automatically, so there be nothin' t' connect. Open it from MIDI Settings under Beat Sync. T' learn how Link be workin' wit' th' rest o' OnSong, see Ableton Link.

This row be showin' whether Ableton Link be On or Off. Tap it t' open Ableton's own settings panel, where ye turn Link on or off an' see how many apps be in th' session. Tap Done t' return.

Sync Mode

This be choosin' how OnSong's tempo relates t' th' rest o' th' Link session:

  • Both shares th' tempo both ways. Changin' th' tempo in OnSong changes it fer everyone, an' a change made elsewhere be adopted here. Default.
  • Lead makes peers follow OnSong. If a peer changes th' session tempo, OnSong puts its own tempo back.
  • Follow adopts th' session tempo an' never pushes OnSong's tempo t' peers.

Status

Th' Connection row shows th' state o' th' session an' updates while th' screen be open:

  • Connected means at least one other Link app be in th' session.
  • Searching… means Ableton Link be on but hasn't found another app yet.
  • Off means Ableton Link isn't runnin'.

If Connection stays on Searching… while another Link app be runnin', check that both devices be on th' same Wi-Fi network an' that th' network lets devices see each other, matey.
